Hollywood & Vine Minnie's Seasonal Dine Review
Hollywood & Vine Minnie's Seasonal Dine Review
Hollywood & Vine is a buffet restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This character buffet is located in the Echo Lake section near Hollywood Boulevard. Character interactions at this Walt Disney World favorite. The breakfast buffet has Disney junior characters while lunch and dinner offers Minnie's seasonal dining. At the time of our visit, Minnie's seasonal dining was Minnie's Springtime dine. Hollywood and Vine is the only character dining option at Hollywood Studios. I would love to see the character breakfast on our next visit.
The Characters
If you are looking to make reservations on the day of your visit, it is possible. I was able to score lunch reservations on the morning of our visit. Reservations are needed for this table-service restaurant and can be made in the My Disney Experience App. The interior design of the restaurant is set up like an old-fashioned dinner, with cute retro theming. As is the case with many character restaurants there was a photo op (without any characters) when entering the restaurant. All the characters, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Goofy come around to each table, pose for pictures and sign autograph books. There were great interactions with the characters, that didn't seem rushed. The character costumes vary depending on the season. At the time of our visit, It was the Springtime Dine, so all the characters were dressed in their spring attire.
The Food
The food at Hollywood and Vine was served buffet style and had great options to accommodate all of us. In addition to the typical buffet foods and comfort food, I was pleasantly surprised to see many plant-based options including crispy tofu with an Asian glaze, a potato dish, and a salad bar. (I am a vegetarian but my family isn't). There was a kids' buffet section including chicken nuggets and tator tots, making this a great option for young kids. My daughter can be a picky eater, so the kids section made her very happy. To appease the meat eaters in our group there was a carving station and many meat and seafood options as well. What made the kids the happiest at Hollywood and Vine was the soft-serve ice cream station. They were thrilled to make a few trips to the soft-serve ice cream machine. As a parent, I was happy there were vegetable and fresh fruit options as well. We had a good time and enjoyed good food at Hollywood and Vine. Our lunch was a welcomed treat and a break from the heat.
This was our first time visiting, and it will be added to our list of Disney World restaurants to visit next trip. Next trip, I would reserve this restaurant as a part of the Fantasmic Dining package. The Fantasmic package allows special seating for the nighttime Fantasmic show at Hollywood Studios. Several restaurants at Hollywood Studios offer Fantasmic Dinner packages, be sure to check them out on the My Disney Experience App.
