Our Free Stay Marriott Residence Inn Hazleton, PA 

My husband comes from a wonderfully large family, who gathers annually in the Pocanos for a large family reunion. A house is usually rented to accommodate every household. Every year, we all stay together in the rental house. However, this year our dog is very senior (14 years old) and is having significant trouble walking. This makes it difficult to leave her with our usual pet sitters (my parents). So for this year's family reunion, I am staying at a nearby dog-friendly hotel with the dogs and going to visit the rental house for a few hours each day.

This clean Residence Inn Hazleton, PA was the perfect place. It is a suite hotel offering informal studios in a nice setting. The lobby fireplace makes this Residence Inn nice and inviting. It is a 20-minute drive to the rental house and allows up to 2 dogs per room. I was able to book a 5-night stay using Marriott Reward points. There is also a Walmart and supermarket within a few minutes' drive. 

Our Stay at the Residence Inn- Hazleton

Upon arrival, we were greeted by spacious rooms that instantly put us at ease. Each room offers the comforts of home including a full kitchen, complete with a full-size fridge, dishwasher, and a handy 4-burner stove. The suite included a separate living space with a couch, a desk, a dining area, put-out sofas, and a fireplace. The casual studios are equipped with flat-screen TVs equipped with cable TV and streaming services. This spacious studio also offers free Wi-Fi. The hotel offers express check-in which allows you to bypass the front desk. 

Amenities at the Residence Inn- Hazleton

The Marriott Hazleton has great amenities to make this extended stay experience comfortable. This comfortable hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast buffet which includes a waffle station, eggs, sausages, cereals, and muffins.  The hotel has an outdoor fire pit with a nice seating area. There is also an outdoor grill guests can use with a picnic area. I didn't get to take advantage of the indoor swimming pool but I did use the nice gym. The fitness room was decently equipped and served its purpose. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is 11 am. Check out Marriott's website for the hotel's latest details. Overall this was a very pleasant stay, which served its purpose to house my and my 2 dogs during a family reunion in the Pocanos.
