Marriott's Imperial Palms Villas Orlando Vacay Review
Marriott's Imperial Palms Villas Orlando Vacay Review
On our trip to Disney World, we stayed at Marriott's Imperial Palm Villas. When choosing a hotel, it was important to us to have space for our extended family to stay in one unit. We also wanted access to a full kitchen, be close to Disney World, and have amenities such as a pool, etc. Marriott Imperial Palms Villas met all of these. We stayed in a 3-bedroom villa, which allowed us to really be able to spread out. This hotel is a part of several Marriott Vacation Club locations in the Orlando area.
Accomidations
The 3 bedroom villas at Marriott Imperial Palms Villas is huge, it includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a private bathroom, a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a third bedroom with 2 twins. Typical hotel rooms would not have had as much space or privacy as this villa had. Having a 3 bedroom unit, really allowed us to spread out and get comfortable for our 8 night stay. In addition to the bedrooms, there was a full-size kitchen including a regular-sized stove and fridge. Having a fully-equipped kitchen meant we could eat breakfast in the villa before hitting the parks. We were able to stock up on breakfast items and produce at the supermarket. It was so nice to be able to pack containers of fruit to bring with us into the parks each day. In addition to the kitchen and bedrooms, there is a dining area, a spacious living area, and a private balcony. The living area and each bedroom were equipped with a flat-screen TV.
Marriott's Imperial Palms Villas is conveniently located just a short drive from Walt Disney World. The drive is under 10 minutes to Disney World, and very easy to navigate. We didn’t hesitate to take afternoon breaks back at the hotel since it was so close to the parks. Most days we did take a break back at the hotel before returning for fireworks or nighttime shows, and it was nice knowing the villas were just a short drive away. Imperial Palms Villas is a vacation ownership resort with timeshare resale available however, you can also book a villa using cash or points on Marriott's website.
Marriott Orlando World Center
The resort is located in the Marriott Orlando World Center complex. This means guests have easy access to a variety of dining, shopping, and recreational activities at the neighboring Orlando World Center Marriott. At the Marriott World Center there are several family activities. Marriott World Center also has some restaurant options on-site. We didn’t have a chance to take advantage of the other resort’s amenities, but it was nice knowing they were there. I have heard great things about the Marriott World Center pool, however, we did not get to check it out. Marriott's Imperial Palms Villas offers a wide range of resort amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, fitness center, tennis courts, a basketball court, a golf course, and some walking trails. We enjoyed a few nights at the heated outdoor pool after a long day at Disney.
Check-in was smooth and relatively quick. There was no line at the front desk, which is always nice after a long day of traveling. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is 10 am. It was a quick 30-minute ride to Palms Villas from Orlando International Airport. Housekeeping came automatically to clean the rooms every other day, a nice amenity that many hotels have done away with. A nice feature of the rooms was the full-sized washer/dryer in the villa. A mid-week laundry meant we did not have to overpack, leaving room in the suitcases for souvenirs. A bonus perk is there is free parking. Many hotels near Walt Disney World charge a parking fee, but not the Palms Villas.
